David Tv Barnes is a Grammy-winning saxophonist, big & tall fashion model, and independent creative director based in Pennsylvania. He designs live saxophone experiences and sonic identities for luxury hotels, private estates, and UHNW families, while fronting national campaigns for size-inclusive fashion brands.

From Classroom to Grammy Stage

David’s path began in a Brooklyn classroom, where the saxophone became both refuge and voice. Years of self-directed practice, band work, and live sets led to collaborations that would eventually place him on the Grammy stage.

As a featured performer on Sting & Shaggy’s Grammy-winning album “44/876,” David carried his horn from intimate rooms to Royal Albert Hall and beyond. Along the way, he developed a signature sound—smooth, melodic, and conversational—that translates naturally from concert halls to hotel lobbies, rooftop lounges, and private living rooms.

The Musician Who Doesn't Need Rehearsal

I play by ear and I read sheet music. That combination means I figure out music in a live environment instantly — no charts needed, no rehearsal required.

At the Ethereal Show during Art Basel Miami Beach, the staff heard my Grammy credentials and invited me to perform on the spot at a world-class show with essentially no notice. I delivered.

For luxury clients, this is what it means: last-minute requests, first dances, and set changes are handled on the spot with zero rehearsal needed. You get a Grammy-winning saxophonist who adapts in real time."

Music, Fashion & Hospitality

On camera, David is a national big & tall model. As a DXL model, David has fronted 8+ national DXL campaigns and collaborated with GQ Creative Director Jim Moore on the Good Counsel line, with work associated with Reebok, Johnny Bigg, and Neiman Marcus. The DXL model is expanding to Dubai in mid-October 2026 while continuing to operate in the USA, bringing big & tall fashion to the UAE as an internationally recognized big and tall model in Dubai. Model measurements: Height 6'1", Weight 365 lbs, Neck 18, Chest 60, Waist 59, Hips 59, Sleeve 35/36, Inseam 29.

For hotels, lounges, and private clients, that combination matters. David doesn’t just sound right in the room—he looks right in the photos, branding, and social content that follow. Every engagement is approached as a 360° experience: sound, image, and atmosphere all aligned with the host’s identity.

Full circle: David's first gig was playing for Wynton Marsalis at Gracie Mansion. Years later, he arranged the horns and led the horn section on the Grammy-winning 44/876 — the same record Wynton's brother Branford played sax on.

Independently Operated, Personally Involved

David runs his bookings and creative direction independently. There is no large agency or anonymous team in the middle—private clients, estates, and brands deal directly with the artist from first message to final encore.

For UHNW families and hospitality groups, that means discretion, agility, and a single point of vision. Each project is limited in number so he can stay deeply involved in programming, styling, and guest experience.
